About Us
The World Lebanese Cultural Union (“WLCU”) is an independent, non-political, non-racial, non-religious and not-for-profit organization. Recognized by the Republic of Lebanon as the sole representative of the Lebanese diaspora in the world.
With its headquarters in Beirut, the WLCU organized through branches, clubs, societies, and confederations having as members Lebanese nationals and descendants of Lebanese origin.
The WLCU strives to bring Lebanese people across the globe together, strengthen the ties between Lebanon and its diaspora, highlight the distinctive Lebanese identity, preserve and spread Lebanese heritage as well as enable and activate the role of the Lebanese diaspora wherever they may be.

Mr. Abbas Fawaz
World Council President
President of the World Lebanese Cultural Union Abbas Fawaz was born in year 1954.
Mr. Jihad Hachem
1st World Vice President
Jihad Hachem first was elected as President of the Kumasi Branch in Ghana in 2005.
He later served as 1st Vice President of the World Lebanese Cultural Union’s National Council in Ghana from 2005 till 2011.
Mr. Ali Nehme Nesr
World Vice President
Ali Nehmé Nesr is a key business figure of the Lebanese Diaspora in Africa and a business visionary. A self-made Lebanese-Belgian entrepreneur and well-known philanthropist. He has redefined the meaning of achievement for over 50 years by transforming a small family business into a leading multinational success story.
Mr. Mohamad El Jouzou
World Vice President
Born on May 25, 1980, Mohamad El Jouzou is the youngest member of the World Lebanese Cultural Union where he serves as the Vice World President, In charge of Youth and Sports.
Mr. Henri Bou Saab
World Vice President
Mr. Henri Bou Saab was elected as a World Vice President during the 19th World Conference 2022 held on the 9th of November, 2022 in Beirut.
Mr. Bou Saab previously assumed the continental presidency of Oceania (Australia and New Zealand).
Ms. Lucy Habib
World Vice President
Born in Lebanon and moved to London at an early age to pursue her studies.
Her educational journey has resulted in a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Westminster, and a BA in Fashion Design from Central St. Martins.

Mr. Atef Eid
World Secretary General
Atef Eid is currently the Secretary General of the World Lebanese Cultural Union. He is based in New York, United States. An ardent businessman who is responsible for the creation of many businesses such as Beit Edin Restaurant, Stamford Auto, Croissant Plus, and most recently Azone Reality a multi-million-dollar real estate company.
Mr. Ezzat Eid
World Treasurer
Born in Lebanon, Ezzat Eid is an ardent Businessman and Philanthropist. He graduated from the Beirut University College in 1970 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

International Affairs Officer
Mr. Rajeh was elected "International Relations Officer" in the Administrative Board of the Wolrd Lebanese Cultural Union during the Eighteenth International Conference held on October, 2019.
