President’s Bio
Mr. Abbas Fawaz
President of the World Lebanese Cultural Union Abbas Fawaz was born in year 1954.While growing up in Liberia, Fawaz always kept strong ties with his country Lebanon.
Fawaz has received numerous degrees from prestigious universities such as Lassale Extension University, Chicago, Illinois, USA in basic and corporate accounting as well as from Alexander Hamilton Institute, New York, USA in executive skills and business management, and an MBA degree from York University.
Fawaz established and held leadership positions in global businesses and organizations such as CEO of Fexim Switzerland. He is the Founder and President of International Trading and Investment Company (ITCO). He is also Chairman and CEO of the International Group Holding since 2004. Also, Fawaz is Chairman and CEO of Maryland Wood Processing Industry in the African continent.
Moreover, Fawaz is a member of many highly respected African Associations. He also serves as Vice President of Democrats Sans Frontiers in Geneva Switzerland.
Fawaz was elected as the President of the World Lebanese Cultural Union in 2019 where he invests his efforts and power alongside other council members to connect with the Lebanese diaspora and help Lebanon rise again through the cultivation of the relationship between the Lebanese Diaspora and their motherland Lebanon.
Due to his diligent efforts, patriotic spirit, efficient leadership, as well as all the accomplishments even with opposing very harsh local and global conditions, his leadership was noticed and appreciated by the WLCU community, which lead to his re-election in the last world conference, the 19th world confernce, as the world president.
